NEWS:


Client COVID-19 Precautions



A) Wait time in reception is restricted to 5 minutes prior to your appointment. Your confirmation and reminder emails will include a link to your Intake Forms. To reduce time in reception, please download them and fill them out prior to your appointment. If you can't fill them out ahead of time, please arrive 5 minutes early to fill them out as intake forms must be complete prior to your appointment time to avoid cutting into your massage time.

B) We aren't heartless. You can come in to use the bathroom any time.

C) Please wear a face mask to your appointment. You do not have to wear it while face down on the table.

D) Do NOT enter the office if you have a fever of 100.4 degrees or more, if you have traveled using public transportation in the last 2 weeks, or if you believe you may have been exposed to the Coronavirus within the last 2 weeks and have not tested negative.

E) All clients will be asked screening questions and have their temperature taken and wash their hands. You will wait/fill out forms in the treatment room if available. If you must wait in reception, we have chairs that are socially distant and will be sanitized after use.

F) Intake and outtake will be done in the treatment room to limit contact with other clients

G) Maintain a 6 foot distance from others, with the exception of your therapist.

Our COVID-19 Precautions



1) We will not come to work if we have a fever, symptoms or believe we have been exposed to the virus. If we don't come to work, we will try to get another therapist to take your appointment.

2) We will wear face masks when we are within 6 feet of you.

3) We have removed the fleece face pillow pads and replaced the cloth covered face pillows with vinyl ones. We have a protective barrior covering the padding on the table that can be sanitized between clients.

4) We will no longer use blankets unless you ask for one, and if you do, it will be clean and washed again before being used for another client.

5) As always, we will use clean linens for each client and wash our hands/arms before and after each massage.

6) We will sanitize touch surfaces after each massage. We have UVC lights that will be used to sanitize the treatment room after each massage. We also have UVC lights for the bathrooms, check out cubby, reception and break room. Pens, clipboards and anything else you touch will be sanitized before use.

7) We will not touch your face with the exception of TMJ work.

Oncology Massage:

Oncology Massage is massage that is customized for the unique needs of someone receiving treatment, or who has received treatment for cancer. Damage to the lymphatic system, effects from chemotherapy and radiation treatment, ports, medical devises... all need specific adjustments made to the massage even decades after treatment.. I have received the special training to make the adjustments needed and now offer Oncology Massage. You must fill out the "Oncology Client Health Form" and return it a few days prior to your first massage.

We Have Moved!


We have moved to the Diamondhead building in the Hoover Court Shopping Center, behind Wells Fargo in the white office building. It is on the far left of the same shopping center as the Jefferson County Revenue Office.

We have a 4th treatment room, a larger couple's room, and a bathroom off reception. Clients will also find that they have more privacy as the rooms open onto an interior hallway separate from reception.

I've also purchased two spa tables for the comfort of those who cannot comfortably lie flat on their backs. For prenatal clients, this allows us to work your neck and shoulders better while you recline.


We Have a Wait List!


Our booking service includes a wait list.

If we are booked for the time you would like. You can specify what therapist, date and time period you would like to be wait listed for. If we have an opening come up, we will call and/or email that we have an opening and the first to respond will get the spot.

We have 2 Comfort Craft Model 800 Mid-Split Electric tables. The mid-split means that the table can bend up to a 40 angle, which aids to open the back (9) or with a steeper angle can be used to assist in stretching. This is the table under all our padding and sheets in 2 of our 4 rooms.

POLICY


CANCELLATION

We request 24 hour notice for all canceled appointments. People who cancel less than 4 hours prior to their appointment time will be charged 50% of the price of your booked service. If you cancel with less than 1 hour notice you will be charged 75% of the price for the session. If you no-show or cancel at or after the time of your appointment, you will be charged the full price for the session and may be required to pay in advance for future appointments.

Because we ask for only 4 hours notice, we think it is reasonable to charge even if the cancellation is due to COVID concerns. However, we understand that if your appointment is for early in the morning, that you may not wake up 4 hours prior and know you are sick, so we will give consideration to that and issue a store credit for cancellation fees in those circumstances. Please understand that cancellation fees allow us to compensate your therapist, who works on commission, for the lost work. By charging the fee and giving you a credit, neither one of you is out and hopefully Stellar Massage retains a happy client and therapist.

TARDY ARRIVAL

A set amount of time is reserved for each client. If you arrive late, the time spent on your massage may have to be reduced. You will be charged the full price of your appointment even if it must be shortened.

STOPPING THE SESSION

This is an ethical, licensed establishment. No sexually inappropriate behavior is permitted (examples include exposing yourself, touching the therapist, or sexual comments or inuendos). Any client who behaves inappropriately will have his/her session terminated and will be charged the fee for the scheduled time regardless of amount of time actually spent on the massage.

FORM OF PAYMENT

We accept cash, local check with ID with a local address, credit card, or gift certificate.

DISHONORED CHECK FEE

A $35 fee will be imposed for any dishonored check.

MINORS

A parent or guardian must be in attendance for the duration of the massage for a minor child.

PRIVACY

Client information is confidential and will not be shared unless the client requests it in writing or we are legally compelled.

DRAPING

Clients will remain draped during the entire massage. Only the portion of the body being worked on will be undraped at any time.

ILLNESS

Please be curteous and reschedule appointments if you are sick. Any late cancellation fee may be applied to the rescheduled appointment.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

If a gift certificate is lost, please call and cancel the gift certificate. If it is presented for redemption prior to being cancelled, the gift certificate is used and will not be reissued.
Gift Certificates are FOR SERVICES ONLY and cannot be used toward tips.

  • Your 30/60/90/120 minute massage actually lasts 30/60/90/120 minutes.
  • Your entire household can share your membership.
  • You can buy more massages at the same price, or upgrade to another service at the reduced member price. I'm sorry, upgrades and additional massages cannot be paid for on-line.
  • You can book on-line by clicking the "BOOK NOW" button on the left navigation bar, so you know that there is no preference shown to people who are potential new contracts or non-club members.
  • There is no fee for the use of heat packs, they are offered free when appropriate or requested and will not interfere with the massage.
  • You can bank unused massages. Banked massages never expire and can still be used if you cancel your membership.
