We Have Moved!We have moved to the Diamondhead building in the Hoover Court Shopping Center, behind Wells Fargo in the white office building. It is on the far left of the same shopping center as the Jefferson County Revenue Office. We have a 4th treatment room, a larger couple's room, and a bathroom off reception. Clients will also find that they have more privacy as the rooms open onto an interior hallway separate from reception. I've also purchased two spa tables for the comfort of those who cannot comfortably lie flat on their backs. For prenatal clients, this allows us to work your neck and shoulders better while you recline.  We Have a Wait List!Our booking service includes a wait list. If we are booked for the time you would like. You can specify what therapist, date and time period you would like to be wait listed for. If we have an opening come up, we will call and/or email that we have an opening and the first to respond will get the spot. Check out our Comfort Craft tables!We have 2 Comfort Craft Model 800 Mid-Split Electric tables. The mid-split means that the table can bend up to a 40° angle, which aids to open the back (9°) or with a steeper angle can be used to assist in stretching. BENEFITS OF MASSAGE Massage and Herbalism are the oldest forms of medicine. You find it from ancient Egyptian tomb paintings of pharaohs being massaged to ancient Chinese medicinal texts. Today, you can find it in my massage room and it is accessible to everyone.In my practice of therapeutic massage and bodywork, I draw from the western tradition, incorporating knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology to address stress and soft tissue pain. I supplement the massage with relaxing aromatherapy. While I regularly use a cream suited for people with allergies or sensitive skin, I can blend a custom cream or oil to enhance your massage experience, incorporating both Massage and Herbalism in a relaxing and therapeutic experience. It’s commonly known that massage can ease tension and muscle pain, increase range of motion, and ease headache and migraine pain, but massage has also been proven to provide a wide range of benefits even if you don’t have muscle pain. Massage lowers blood pressure; increases circulation, reduces depression, stress and anxiety; boosts immunity; promotes tissue regeneration; and more. You can also combine massage and the essential oils used in aromatherapy to supplement treatment of medical issues. For instance, if you have a condition that keeps you awake, Lavender, with its sedative property, and massage, which can ease stress and muscle tension, can help you sleep. If that condition also includes abdominal pain and headache, Peppermint can help. Hormonal issues? Massage will ease back pain, Chamomile is great for cramps, and Geranium helps restore hormonal balance. Did I mention that massage is also a great way to just pamper yourself? Close your eyes and imagine a dim room, soothing music, relaxing aroma, and the smooth strokes of a sweedish massage rubbing all the tension away. It also makes a great gift. |
