After puberty, fat cells remain constant in number and change their size and volume according to the amount of fat the body stores. This fat often assumes abnormal proportions in areas such as thighs, hips, stomach and arms. Non-invasive Ultrasonic Lipo-cavitation uses ultrasound waves to break down this excess fat. Unlike surgical lipo-suction there is no pain, incisions or recovery time. The ultrasonic energy is delivered through the skin surface. This treatment is safe and suitable for men and women who want effective removal of excess fat without surgery. How Does Cavitation work? Using radio frequencies and low frequency ultrasonic waves, forms bubbles around fat deposits under the skin. The bubbles then burst, breaking fat deposits into the lymphatic systems where they are drained and eliminated from your body as waste when you go to the bathroom. What is Radiofrequency and how does it work? (RF) therapy, also called radiofrequency skin tightening, is a non-surgical method of tightening your skin by stimulating collagen and elastin. Collagen is the most common protein in your body creating the framework of your skin and gives your skin its firmness. The procedure involves using energy waves to heat the deep layer of your skin known as your dermis. This heat stimulates the fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, which can enhance the oxygen flow of the body, improve blood and lymph circulation, eliminate toxins, activate metabolism, and soften honeycomb tissue to achieve the purpose of body shaping and obesity control. If you are under the age of 18 If you are pregnant or breastfeeding If you have had cancer or remission within the last 12months or taken chemo pills within the last 6 months If you have a pacemaker If you have Epilepsy If you had any surgery in the last 4 weeks If you have metal implants in the treatment area, excluding dental implants If you are menstruating - that week will have to be skipped in treatment Remember to always consult your doctor if have concerns or are unsure if an underlying issue will impact treatment. How many treatments will I need? Even though you’ll start seeing some inches coming off right away, 8-12 sessions are needed for optimum results. The exact number of treatments needed will vary due to factors such as weight, age and the area being treated. Sessions run about 30-60 minutes. What should I expect on my first visit? You will have a few forms to fill out about your goals and wellness. We will track your progress through a visual chart and measurement system for just you as the client, following all HIPPA guidelines. What is the treatment like? Each Session is started with a warmup massage to get the lymphatic system ready for receiving the new waste, Cavitation is applied with a vegan conductive gel. There will be a slight chirping or clicking as the wand moves across the area. Levels of frequency are started low on the first visit and gradually raised as the body tolerates it. Radiofrequency is accompanied with an anti-cellulite oil to stimulate the skin firming and smoothness. This will have a warming sensation. What are the pre-treatment instructions? Avoid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in the week leading up to your treatment Avoid eating two hours before treatment sessions Avoid carbonated drinks, coffee and tea to ensure that the body will focus on breaking down the fat cells targeted instead of the caffeine Come hydrated! What are the post treatment instructions? Keep yourself hydrated! Refrain from excessive heat following treatment. Try to get 30-45 mins of cardio within 2 hours of a treatment to help jump start the metabolism of the fatty acids and glycerol freed from the fat cells. Its important to give your body the time it needs to heal, so don’t rush into exercise. You can do light, non-strenuous movements. Given the nature of the treatment, the recovery is quite speedy, you can resume your normal daily routine. However, you may have some minor discomfort of swelling or redness that subsides after a few days. In some cases, a slight headache may occur. In cases where the fat isn't absorbed evenly after it breaks down; lumps, bumps and valleys on your skin can appear after cavitation. These skin irregularities may be resolved by follow up treatments. When the body is processing out the waste, it can increase the chances of diarrhea/ bowel changes or the feeling of having flu like symptoms from toxins flushed out of the tissue. In these instances, they will subside after a day or so. What can I do to enhance the results?
